The Rayston brand was created to establish a unique identity for Krypton Chemical products.

It is a registered and recognized brand, whose portfolio has expanded over the years. Our R&D department has played a key role in this development, allowing us to cover all customer needs in waterproofing and seamless flooring projects for construction and renovation.

In 2022, responding to market needs, we launched Krypton ProLine, a new line of highly specialized systems and products designed to meet the demand for industrial coatings.

With this range, we cover all types of special and anti-corrosion coating projects for various industrial sectors, including OEM, oil & gas, agriculture and livestock, marine, defence, and themed structures, among others.

1999

Krypton Chemical is born

Krypton Chemical was founded within the Technology Service at the Faculty of Chemistry at Rovira i Virgili University, setting up its pilot plant at the Les Tàpies Industrial Park business incubator in L’Hospitalet de l’Infant. The first Rayston products were introduced, featuring single-component polyurethane technology, along with the first product diversifications to meet the growing demand for liquid waterproofing solutions.

2004

Consolidation

Product diversification expanded, and process improvements led to the first European technical certifications for membranes and finishes. Krypton Chemical also began its international expansion into neighbouring countries such as France, Italy, and England.

2008

References

Despite the economic crisis, we became a leading manufacturer and distributor in Spain, working on major infrastructure projects, including airports, hospitals, and high-speed rail networks.

2012

Opening to the world

The financial crisis pushed us to focus on exports, opening new and more distant markets in America, Asia, Africa, and the former USSR. This period also accelerated the development of polyurea as a future-leading technology.

2018

A new growth

A phase of significant growth began. During this time, Krypton Chemical successfully transformed many of its technological initiatives and developments into major achievements, allowing us to expand our team.

2024

25 years and still going!

We celebrate 25 years!  We have continued to grow, investing in technology and expanding our team, establishing ourselves as a benchmark in both the national and international markets. We remain as passionate as on day one and will continue to place our customers at the heart of everything we do.
